December's Wishes

Here is a recent exchange I sent out to my partner.

It looks bigger than it was on the picture, I zoomed too much with the camera. It is actually stitched one over one, so pretty small and delicate, with much fresher colors - it was a very grey day here in Norway and even going out of the house didn't help much with the light!

Joyeux Noel

From the wonderful Joyeux Noel book , the sampler:



stitched on the recommended 30 ct. Lucky Penny linen with the sampler threads called for...



except I did substitute the DMC equivalent to the Crescent Colours Petite Maison as the skein of that I had blended right into the fabric and couldn't be seen.



such an enjoyable stitch...my first finish for 2010!

This is my interpretation of Truly Thine and I love the brightness of the colors. The phrase appealled to me so much I decided to make this little pincushion.
