This is my first contribution to the Blackbird Design blog. This was the first pincushion pillow I stitched and finished. I was really pleased with how it turned out and I was even more delighted over my finishing fabric choice. I changed the called-for thread to CC Waterlilies Kelp and I changed Sarah Tobias to my own name to personalize it.
I added my own embellishments. The lacey material is a piece I cut from an old tablecloth. I coffee dyed it for age and fastened it with pins and bone buttons.My next BBD project is going to be one from My Heart Is True. I so fell in love with this the moment I saw it. I just love those little dainty projects where I get to use my finishing fabrics.
