My own twist

I stitched mine in honor of my maternal grandmother Antonia. She was a very special lady who in spite of her limited education was an amazing seamstress. I have fond memories of many beautiful dresses she made for me while I was growing up. We lost her to young to pancreatic cancer at the age of 55.  I chose red, white and blue (DMC 321, 823, and 3865) in honor of the flag of her birthplace, the island of Puerto Rico. I plan to finish it and give it to my mother for Mother's Day.
