Just wanted to say "Hi" and thanks for letting me join your group. I'm a real nut for Blackbird designs. I think I always have at least one or two projects going that are their designs. I love their talent!
Here is something I posted on my blog, Sew be it, last month. This is from the book A fine Collection. "February's Hearts". I stitched it on 32 count linen and changed the color from pink to a cream overdyed color. I used the gentle art colors that they suggested.A real "duh" moment I'm going to admit that I did while stitching this, was that I stitched the original date of 2002 that was on the pattern. Wasn't thinking one bit when doing that. I didn't even notice it until it was almost finished. I would have been ticked if I would have had it framed with that date on it! Thank goodness it was an easy fix.
The basket was tricky. I felt like I was being tortured when stitching it, so I would work on it while my daughter did her math. That way we could be tortured together!
I was able to take some classes from Barb and Alma a year ago January. They were the most delightful women! I met them again at quilt market in October. If you would like to see some pictures of their visit to Utah the link is here.
Have a great day!
