Anniversaries of the Heart

I finished my Anniversaries of the Heart!  I am so excited.  I stitched it together on 40 ct Examplar linen by Lakeside Linens, using the suggested threads.

I made a few changes throughout the blocks and had fun with the personalizations.  This is the bonus block at the bottom--

Pink Hill Manor

I dedicated this block to my mother in-law, her mother, and the cottage in which they lived. I'm stitching Anniversaries of the Heart together on one piece of 40 ct Examplar linen with overdyed threads.

Farm House

I am stitching the Anniversaries of the Heart designs all on one piece of 40 count Examplar by Lakeside Linens. I stitched Farm House with the suggested overdyed threads.
I personalized this design for my father in-law.

Anniversaries of the Heart--so far

I am really enjoying working on the Anniversaries of the Heart designs, figuring out how I can personalize the family members represented in each block. On the Snow Garden piece, I omitted stitches in the flowers in the bird's beak to look more like shamrocks.
In the Valentine Rose block, I changed the design on the door to look more like the number five, to represent our house number. The first letter of my dad's name is stitched on the heart above the house.
I did A Wish for You to honor my husband. The Irish flag and verse, the year that we met, and his childhood nickname are all on the block.

Margaret Harris

Hey Blackbird fans! I stitched Margaret Harris from Blackbird's "Honeysuckle Manor" book.

I used Mocha by Gloriana with Belle Soie silks on 40 count Autumn Gold.
I personalized it for my daughter with her name, year of birth, and the area where she was born. My blog: Notes from Blue Hen Hollow

Midnight Watch

I finished stitching Blackbird's Midnight Watch last week. I used Gentle Arts, Crescent Colors, and Weeks Dye Works threads. I stitched it on 40 count Abecedarian Blend by R&R.
